2013 Mustang Boss 302 Getting ’70s-Inspired Colors, Tech Goodies

The Ford Mustang Boss 302 might just go down in history as the best Mustang yet. Our Best Driver’s Car ringer Randy Pobst said that the Boss 302 was, “Clearly better than any other Mustang I’ve driven. I’m just so impressed.” So is there any way to make the best Mustang better? Ford apparently thinks so, according to Mustangs Daily, who say that the 2013 Mustang Boss 302 will get new ‘70s-inspired paint and graphics, and also get modern tech touches like Sync.

Mustangs Daily reports that changes to the 2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302 will mostly be cosmetic. For starters, the Mustang forum maniacs expect the 2013 Boss 302 to wear the same graphics its daddy did all the way back in 1970. The 2013 Boss should also feature some of the same colors too; Gotta Have It Green, School Bus Yellow, Grabber Blue, and a new white and red are among the colors rumored to be added to the Boss 302’s color palate.

Besides the throwback colors and livery, the 2013 Mustang Boss 302 is also expected to get some modern creature comforts. Mustangs Daily expects the 2013 Boss 302 to get HID headlamps (no word on whether they’ll be optional or standard), Sync, and a new 4.2-inch LCD message screen placed in between the speedo and tach, similar to the one found on the new F-150 SVT Raptor.

As these are unofficial reports, Ford couldn’t be reached for comment.
