Limited Edition Roush Stage 3 Ford Mustang is Flashier, But Not Faster

Looking to buy a 2012 Roush Stage 3 Ford Mustang that’s flashier and a bit more exclusive? Then check out the Roush Performance Hyper-Series that adds a  limited edition appearance package in addition to all the mechanical upgrades for the 540-hp Mustang beast.

The RS3 Mustang Hyper-Series comes with a choice of four tasty color palettes: “Mat It Mango, “Gas It Green”, “Punch It Purple”, and “Launch It Lemon”. Roush Performance starts with a standard GT with black body paint, adds the requisite RS3 graphics, and then adds the limited edition color accent stripe that extends diagonally from the front fender to the door. “The materials used in the Hyper-Series graphics really allow these unique colors to pop and dance in the changing sunlight,” said Gary Jurick, VP and General Manager of Roush Performance.

The color scheme continues inside with accented suede door trim, leather seating, shift boot stitching, and two shifter knobs – one with the accent color and another with a toned-down finish. Roush is building just 25 of each color with each vehicle receiving a requisite serial number badge.

Like other RS3 Mustangs, the Hyper Series is still rated at 540 HP and 465 lb-ft of torque. Modifications include a 50-state legal TVS 2.3-liter, Roushcharger system, a Roush suspension that lowers the Mustang one inch, and a Roush-tuned exhaust. Roush is releasing the package next month with an MSRP of $27,300, which is more than the $16,800 MSRP for the standard RS3 package, but includes many optional components such as the Performance Brake Package ($2,877), leather seats ($1,725), and Roush 20-inch wheels ($1,115).
